Week Two

Following on from my previous entry, I have now started categorizing areas of supernatural and paranormal phenomena I would like to look at. I decided that I would rather focus on the more spiritual rather than scientific side of things however throughout my book I will be referencing different views.

I have chosen to look at the theme of paranormal activity so ghosts, haunting, spirits, exorcism and so on. I would also like to look at vudu and black magic as this is also an area I am interested in. However, I am still in my research stage and would like to explore these ideas in more depth.

I recently visited the Modern Witchcraft exhibition at the ASC gallery which was particularly interesting, especially as the ancient artifacts had been incorporated with modern day art work by current emerging artists. As I walked through the small gallery alone, I felt a little uneasy and a little scared although there was nothing to be scared about. I also felt the goosebumps run up my spine and arms, I felt cold. This could be possibly due to the fact that it was work based on witchcraft and I was expecting it to be eerie and scary?

Week One-FMP

Dear readers, I am an art and design student and I have just started my Final Major Project. This requires me to create and follow my own brief. I have chosen to explore the things that are above or beyond what is natural and unexplained by natural law. This includes, ghosts, spirits, black magic, palm readers, exorcism, psychics, 6th sense, etc.

I am going to begin my research on anything and everything that goes into the above category. I will also be looking at first hand experiences that people might of had. Any comments, stories or suggestions are useful and will assist in my project. Thank you!
